Meet the Doctor

Dr. Brice Choi received his BS degree in Physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), where he also completed the U.S. Air Force ROTC program. He was commissioned as Air Force Officer.  He then attended Baylor College of Medicine and received his M.D. degree. Afterwards, he completed an Internship Program at University of Washington and Neurology Residency program at Baylor College of Medicine. He further obtained additional training in Neuroimaging (MRI, CT and US interpretation) by completing Neuroimaging Fellowship program.

Prior to moving to the Atlanta Metro area in 1998, he served in the U.S Air Force as a Medical Corps Officer (as USAF Neurologist) for 8 years. Titles held while on active duty include, Chief of Neurology of a large Air Force Hospital. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He also served as Assistant Professor of Neurology and Chief of the Neuroimaging section at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (military medical school). His MRI experience was further enhanced by basic science and clinical research at National Institute of Health (NIH) for 4 years in the field of diffusion MRI.

Dr. Choi has multiple board certifications including American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (in Neurology), American Society of Neuroimaging (MRI, CT, US), American Board of Pain Medicine and American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EMG, EEG, EP). He is an active member in many professional organizations including American Academy of Neurology, American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and American Society of Intervention Pain Physicians.

In the year 2000, South Atlanta Neurology and Spine Clinic (SANSC) was founded with a vision that the community will be served with the most accurate clinical diagnostic capabilities with excellent therapeutic modalities. With this vision, a state of the art OPEN MRI was added as a part of SANSC. Images produced by this MRI are interpreted by either Dr. Choi or other board certified Radiologists.

Therapeutic options for pain management were tremendously expanded by an addition of an advanced digital Fluoroscopy C-Arm by Phillips. Dr. Choi has extensive experience and training in Interventional Pain Management. In addition, Acupuncture treatments are available for selected patients.

Dr. Choi’s focus on high quality care has resulted in many satisfactory patient outcomes and fulfillment of SANSC’s founding vision of providing the southern metro-Atlanta region with accurate, reliable and state-of-the-art Neurological diagnosis & treatment as well as the best Pain management.
